HYC’s primary club racing activity is our participation in Tuesday Night Racing* with the Breakwater Irregulars, where HYC is represented in both its spinnaker and non-spinnaker classes.

The performance of HYC boats in Tuesday Night Racing and our two major standalone races, the Mayor’s Cup and the Nellie Guernsey Memorial, are considered in the awarding of the Halloween Yacht Club  Commodore’s Cup and the Yachtsman of the Year Award.

*Historical note: It was a Halloween YC member, Dick Sockol, who founded the Breakwater Irregulars and served as its Commodore from 1967 through 1987.
