Few events better symbolize our bouncing back in 2022 than Stamford’s Mayor’s Cup Race. This 36-year old regatta, like all of us, has been a victim of circumstances in recent years. In 2019, it was abandoned during the first leg, when electrical problems disabled the mark boat. (Yes, Moosehead.) In 2020, it was Covid-canceled. In 2021, there just wasn’t any wind. But, Sunday, June 12, 2022 we finally had a great race and then enjoyed a big celebration for all participants. Stamford’s new Mayor, Caroline Simmons, joined us at the party and presented awards to the winners during the award ceremony.
Halloween YC’s Mayor’s Cup Race is a qualifying race for YRALIS Handicap Racing Trophies.
